Phan Dang Hoang is a young fashion designer based in Vietnam. When I joined the project, the logo had already been established, and my role was to extend the identity into a packaging system, including labels, boxes, shopping bags, and brand guidelines.
The brand is rooted in a personal memory of his grandmother, who introduced him to sewing. Watching her work with needle and thread became a quiet but defining gesture, forming the basis of the brand’s visual language. The idea of threading carries through the logo as a symbolic point of departure.
This concept is expressed in the label design, where a string is threaded through a paper tag. To remove it, the user must pull the thread out, a simple action that echoes the process of sewing and creates a direct connection to the brand’s origin.
The clean, restrained packaging allow the garments to take focus, while offering a flexible system that adapts across collections. The result reflects a balance between tradition and modernity, aligning with the brand’s approach to contemporary fashion.
